More Power, Quieter Cab Highlights 2017 Nissan Titan

The 2017 Nissan Titan features a new engine for more performance, advanced technology and a host of interior comfort and convenience amenities that are rounded out with safety features to ensure that drivers have peace of mind on the road.

Under the Hood

Nissan engineers equipped the 2017 Titan with a 5.7-liter Endurance V8 engine with direct injection gas that delivers 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque.

The engine is teamed with a heavy-duty seven-speed automatic transmission specifically tuned to the Titan so it can handle the torque of the engine along with any towing or hauling needs of owners.

When it comes to being a workhorse, the Titan can tow 9,740 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 1,950 pounds when properly equipped.

Comfort and Convenience

Built for practicality and utility, the 2017 Titan has increased storage over previous models, including new second-row under-seat storage bins with locking lids.

Front and rear seats are standard zero gravity variety, and upgraded models feature heating and cooling functionality.

The tech hub is the vehicle’s infotainment system, which links smartphones to the truck through the audio system and provides for hands-free calling, audio streaming and mobile app integration. The standard display is a 5-inch color screen, and upgraded models feature a 7-inch color touchscreen. Turn-by-turn navigation is available as well.

Intuitive voice commands make the vehicle’s technology system easy to navigate, allowing drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

When Nissan designers took a look at plans for the 2017 Titan, they focused on adding improved sound deadening materials such as laminated front side glass to reduce cabin noise and vibration.

Safety

Technology isn’t limited just to infotainment, and Nissan took it to the safety features, with available blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert and a rearview monitor helping to make the vehicle safer and more user-friendly.

Four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist stop the vehicle quickly, and the stability and traction control systems help keep it on the driver’s intended course.

In the event of a collision, a full set of airbags protects occupants, including during rollover crashes. Three-point seat belts are standard at all seating locations, and the LATCH system ensures child seats can be safely secured.
